City striker Gabriel Jesus will wear the no.9 shirt next season

Gabriel Jesus chose the No.33 shirt when he first joined the Etihad in 2017 from Palmeiras.

He has scored 45 goals in the 100 appearances with his current no.33 shirt. But when Nolito departed and the No.9 being vacant, Jesus has elected to take it on for the 2019/20 season.

Pep Guardiola regards him as an important player for the club's future and Jesus will remain loyal to the Blues. “It will be an honour to wear the City number nine shirt and I’ll do so with great pride. I hope to score many goals wearing this jersey and help City to more trophies in the coming seasons. It’s the number I wear with Brazil and as always, I’ll be giving everything for City when I’m wearing it," the former Palmeiras striker said.
