Frank Lampard has contacted Roman Abramovich, and said that he agrees to take the job. Abramovich said that the former Chelsea player has 2 years to prove that he can bring the team to succession.
Lampard will take the role as head coach, and Jody Morris as assistant coach. Pals Shay Given will be the goalkeeping coach and Didier Drogba as striker coach.
However, Aston Villa coach and former Chelsea player John Terry has received no offers.
