Derby County manager Frank Lampard has agreed to join Chelsea and sign a 3-year contract with the Blues.

He will earn £5.5m a year, which totaled to £16.5m until his contract ends. The club's owner, Roman Abramovich, will bring him as the 10th manager to coach Chelsea under his ownership.
Lampard would have to face huge burdens and one of them is Chelsea's transfer ban. Chelsea only bought Christian Pulisic from Dortmund for £57.3m, and Mateo Kovacic from Real Madrid for £44m. Champions League football will be another weight for the former Chelsea player, since he doesn't have the experience in coaching a team in the Champions League.
However, good thing for the Derby manager is that most of his close friends in his playing and managerial career will accompany him. Teammate Petr Cech will join him as technical and performance advisor. His partners in Derby County, Jody Morris and Chris Jones will go back to Stamford Bridge with Lampard to join his coaching staff. Meanwhile, Chelsea U-23 academy coach Eddie Newton will be promoted to the first-team coaching team, and Chelsea assistant manager Eddie Newton will join the backroom staff.
Chelsea promised Lampard that if he managed to bring Chelsea to top four in the Champions League, he may bring £1m home with him.
