Liverpool to make bid for Marco Asensio

Liverpool chiefs are considering making a £67m bid for Marco Asensio.

The 23-year-old has been recently linked with Champions League finalists Tottenham and Liverpool. According to media reports, Asensio can be used as a part of the trading deal for Sadio Mane or Christian Eriksen respectively.

Real Madrid are unlikely to accept the cash bid from Liverpool since Zinedine Zidane is a fan of the young Spaniard and has plans for him next season. On the other hand, Christian Eriksen and Sadio Mane are very talented players who can bring their club to the Champions League final, and Zidane can't deny that.

Marco Asensio has struggled with game time since his tenure in the Spanish capital after his signing from Real Mallorca in summer 2015. The winger may either push a move or continue fighting for his position. If he wants to fight for his space then he will challenge new faces Eden Hazard and Rodrygo Goes and also Vinicius Junior.
