Tottenham are ready to break their transfer fee record of £64.5m(including £9m add-ons) to bring Lyon's Tanguy Ndombele into London, previously being £42m Davinson Sanchez from Ajax. At first, Tottenham made an opening bid of £40m but got knocked out by the Ligue 1 side.

Tanguy Ndombele gave a series of outstanding performance with Lyon in the 2018-19 season, and this has attracted a number of giant clubs in Europe. Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas said that the player wants to leave and chose Spurs as his next one.
He is known for his technical skills and power and those make him able to play in both the attacking and defending state.

Spurs did not make any player signing in the previous two seasons, and now, Tottenham fans will be happy that they signed a new one.
At first, Lyon wanted an outstanding £70m, however, after a series of negotiations, the two clubs finally found a solution, which both agreed at £64.5m.
Tanguy came to Lyon from Amiens on loan for £1,8m, however, also chose to sign him permanently for around £7,1m. Amiens also received around £200k in bonus and 20% of transfer fee if he moved to another club. From Ndombele's transfer fee, Amiens will receive £12.9m.
