Manchester City targeting Ivan Angulo

19-year old Ivan Angulo is in a Manchester City target, a Palmeiras director said.

Manchester City had ever opened a transaction with the Brazilian club in 2016, signing striker Gabriel Jesus for €32m.

The Etihad wants to bring the Colombian into the Premier League champions, and has made a €6m offer.

However, Palmeiras director Alexandre Mattos claimed that he is not interested in opening another transaction.

“A representative of Manchester City wanted to propose a future agreement," he said. “We didn’t even want to open a conversation. We are not interested in an Angulo partnership at this time.”

The Colombian proved some worth when facing Brazil in the U-20 South American championship and Mattos believed that he will be more expensive soon.

Angulo joined Palmeiras on an annual loan from Colombian club Envigado, then the Brazilian side bought him permanently for €2,6m.

From the director's speech, Angulo is unlikely to move to Manchester City now but soon or later he may play for Pep Guardiola's side.
