Manchester United in hunt for West Ham's center-back

Manchester United regards Issa Diop as an alternative to Harry Maguire and Kalidou Kouliaby

Ole Gunnar Solksjaer is planning to strengthen the team's defence after a very disappointing season.

Leicester's Harry Maguire and Napoli's Kalidou Kouliaby is in the club's wishlist. However, Kalidou Kouliaby rejected Man U, and Leicester City Harry Maguire is £80 million, which they are willing to pay.

However, the club is also looking for an alternative who is cheaper, and it is West Ham's Issa Diop. Issa Diop is cheaper than Leicester's demands for Maguire.

According to transfermarkt, he is around £31 million, and Man U prepared an opening bid of £45 million to quicken the process. However, the chiefs demanded £60 million.

Issa Diop previously played for Toulouse, and West Ham paid £22 million last year for the defender. He then gave an outstanding performance in the 2018-19 season under Manuel Pellegrini.
