Marcos Llorente will join Atletico Madrid

Marcos Llorente will join Real Madrid's local rivals Atletico Madrid in a 5 year deal, and both clubs have agreed to his transfer. His transfer fee is predicted to be around 40m euros.

Llorente is born in Madrid and joined the Real Madrid's youth setup when he was 13. In mid-2014, he did very well with the club and manager Zinedine Zidane directly promote the Spanish midfielder into the senior squad.

In August 2014, Llorente was featured in his first match, starting in a 1–2 away loss against Atlético Madrid B. He featured in 25 matches during the season and was in the pitch for 1,637 minutes.

When Real Madrid beat Al Ain 4-1 in the Club World Cup, Llorente is the Player of the Match.
