Marseille defender targeted by Spurs as Kieran Trippier replacement

After a bitter defeat to Liverpool in the UCL final, some players will depart and move somewhere else. Kieran Trippier is one of the players that have been targeted by Premier League rivals Manchester United, Atletico Madrid, and Italian clubs Juventus and Napoli.

Because of this, Mauricio Pochettino has to find another player who can replace his position in the team. He has identified Marseille and Japanese defender, Hiroki Sakai. Transfermarkt shows that he is worth €8 million, however, Tottenham has been searching for a bid by the club in case Marseille demands for more.

The Japanese defender started his football career with Kashima Reysol, then moved to Hanover 96 in Germany, then left for the Ligue 1 club at 2016.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who is also a Manchester United target, is also in Spurs' wishlist, however, should they fail to sign the Crystal Palace defender, they will turn their attention to Sakai.
