2022 World Cup is corrupt

It turns out that the 2022 World CUp will be hosted by Qatar, and everyone might be surprised by this. A middle east country, that is something ridiculous. Qatar has a not really good human rights record, and why Qatar, there are many more countries to host such as England or France.

The reason is corruption. Former UEFA president Michael Platini had been caught involved in a corruption regrading the decision by FIFA to host the next World Cup in Qatar.

The arrest of the France football legend starts to open another investigation into the votes regarding who should host the World Cup 2018 and 2022 which is held 2 years ago. The votes were Russia and Qatar respectively. French prosecutors have suspected corruption after Platini wanted to change his decision from the US to Qatar after a lunch with the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Not only Platini himself, his son favored Qatar by joining Burrda, a Qatari sportswear company, owned by Qatar Sports Investments, also the owner of French club Paris Saint-Germain.

Platini's representative did not comment about the arrest.
