Portugal beat Netherlands with a full time score of 1-0, and it wasn't Ronaldo who shot or assisted.

After the match ends, Ronaldo went to De Ligt and invited the Dutch teenager to play with him in Italy.

De Ligt admitted that he was surprised by Ronaldo's words, and that he laughed, but said nothing.

"I didn't understand him at first," the defender said.

De Ligt and Ronaldo met at the Champions League quarter finals at both legs when Juventus got thrown out by Ajax.

De Ligt has been wanted by top clubs around Europe, mainly PSG, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Manchester City, Juventus and Barcelona.
