Juventus won the race to sign Matthijs De Ligt

Matthijs De Ligt is now a target for elite clubs around Europe, such as PSG, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Real Madrid and Manchester United.
However, Juventus is one step in front of his admirers and he is very likely to join Cristiano Ronaldo and Maurizio Sarri in Turin, according to Dutch newspaper.
It is known that after the Nations League final between Portugal and Netherlands, where Portugal won, Cristiano Ronaldo invited Matthijs De Ligt to come play together with him in Italy.
De Ligt admitted that he is a fan of the Portugese star, and this made him set a move to Turin.
Juventus has made a 70m euro bid for the Dutch defender. He is currently in holiday after a satisfying season, where Ajax won 2 domestic trophies and a semi-final in the Champions League.
Juventus had offered De Ligt a 5 year contract, and the defender will earn around 15-20m euros per season.
